This is an 11-string set, leaving the low E as a single string rather than a doubled course. That creates a cleaner, tighter low end with less muddiness, while the remaining paired courses retain the powerful, full-bodied sound players expect from a requinto-style conversion.

Built for corridos, corridos tumbados, regional Mexican, norteño, tejano, sierreño, banda, and other Latin guitar styles, this custom-gauge set provides balanced tension and comfortable playability across every course. When will my order ship?

Typically, standard sets take 1-2 business days (M-F) to make and ship, regardless of the shipping option selected at checkout. In rare cases we experience extremely high demand and it may take a few extra days for your order to ship. We ship Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a tracking link once your order ships.

Bass Strings at Stringjoy are currently Made to Order—please allow 1 – 2 weeks for your strings to be wound, inspected, coiled and packaged. If we can make them faster, we will, but this is a good expectation to go in with. It’s our goal to build up enough stock to ship bass strings just as fast as electric and acoustic strings, but currently the demand on the bass side keeps growing faster than we can train new Master Winders (as bass strings are the most complex strings we manufacture, only the top tier of winders at Stringjoy are certified to wind them).

Will these fit my instrument?

Almost certainly. We make our strings longer than just about any company to ensure that they will fit on all guitars. All plain steel strings are 43″, wound guitar strings are 46.5″ total with a 39.75″ winding length, and bass strings are 54″ total with a 48″ winding length (or 45″ for short and medium scale bass strings). Bass strings and guitar strings heavier than .060 have varying taper lengths, for full details please see “How long are your strings?” on our FAQs page. For bass strings, please note that our strings do not currently fit 37″ multi-scale basses, but we are working on a line for that.

Why should I pay more for your strings?

Our goal is to make strings that sound fuller, feel smoother, and last longer than the other strings on the market. Having a slightly higher price-point enables us to be more selective with which materials make it into your set, and to afford the skilled staff that we need to craft strings that are a cut above the rest.

Do you really make these strings yourself?

Yes, we make all our strings in our shop in Nashville, TN. We know that many brands do not, but we’ve never wanted to be like the rest of the string brands out there. It’s our mission to make the best strings in the world, and we couldn’t do that unless we could own and master every portion of the process ourselves. We obsess over every single detail of our strings, and we believe that once you install them, you’ll immediately be able to tell the difference a quality string makes.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! International shipping rates are quoted at checkout and we subsidize them to keep them as low as possible.

For many countries, we are able to collect and remit duties and taxes on the buyer's behalf at the time of purchase, ensuring that orders ship with duties paid. This convenient option helps save you both time and money. However, please note that any additional duties, taxes, or fees assessed by customs authorities in your destination country that were not collected at checkout are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. We recommend checking with your local customs office to understand any potential costs that may apply.

International orders typically take 1-3 weeks to arrive, depending on the destination.
